Australian Breastfeeding Association
Our group covers the suburbs of Northcote, Richmond, Abbotsford, Fitzroy, North Fitzroy, Clifton Hill, Collingwood, Melbourne University and parts of East Melbourne and the Melbourne CBD.
We provide mother-to-mother support for breastfeeding and parenting. You can come along to group meetings and meet new friends, chat, and get hints and tips from other mothers who've 'been there'. You can also talk to a trained volunteer breastfeeding counsellor if needed. We welcome non-members to attend a few meetings before joining the Australian Breastfeeding Association.
You can find out when and where our meetings are held by emailing abainnerurbangroup@gmail.com or by checking the calendar on the Inner Urban group page of the ABA website: www.breastfeeding.asn.au/local/vic/inner-urban-vic.
Our meetings generally have an advertised topic, but if it doesn’t fit with where you are on your breastfeeding journey please come along anyway – all sorts of breastfeeding and parenting related discussions are welcome!
Inner Urban Group offers a breast pump hire service, and we have milk collection kits available for purchase.
